4th batch of Agniveer attestation parade held at JAKLI Regimental Centre | KNO

Srinagar, Dec 04 (KNO): The fourth batch of 99 (Ninety nine) Agniveers were attested in an impressive ceremony at the Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry Regimental Centre, Srinagar. The arduous training of young & determined Agniveers commenced on 01 May 2024, a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) reads. The 31 weeks of training was designed to mould them into battle ready soldiers, thereby exposing them to tough & challenging physical and mental conditioning. The Agniveers also imbibed military ethos, regimental tarteeb, social etiquettes, camaraderie and unrelenting spirit to be a disciplined soldier and a responsible citizen of India, it added. As a mark of respect, the event commenced with Rastriya Salute to the National Flag followed by marching in and oath taking parade. The proud parents were presented with ‘Gaurav Padak’ for their selfless contribution of their wards towards the service of the Nation, the statement reads Meanwhile, the fourth batch of Agniveers, hailing from Jammu and Kashmir have successfully completed their rigorous training and are now ready to embark upon the journey of Nation Building. As they pledged allegiance to the Constitution Of India during attestation parade at JAKLI Regimental Centre on 03 Dec 2024, their parents were honoured with prestigious ‘Gaurav Padak’ for sending their sons to serve the nation, the statement said—(KNO)
